What NileShopper is

NileShopper is a price aggregator. We track publicly listed prices, stock status and product details across a number of independent Egyptian online stores and show them side by side so you can compare them. We do not sell any of the products listed on this site, we do not process payments, and we do not fulfil or ship orders. Every purchase you make happens entirely on the store's own website, under that store's own terms.

What we collect

We collect usage data - things like pages visited, search terms entered, and which categories or stores you click through to - so we can tell which parts of the catalog are actually useful. Our self-hosted Umami analytics also records actions such as saving a build or setting an alert. We do not send your email address, display name or password to analytics. You do not need an account to search or compare prices. Payment details and shipping addresses are entered on the store's own site.

If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, account identifier and preferences. We also store the builds you save, the products you watch, your target prices and the status of your price-alert emails. Supabase manages sign-in, passwords and account verification. We do not store your password in our catalog database.

Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device type) is logged by our infrastructure and hosting providers as a normal part of serving the site, in line with typical web server practice.

Cookies and local storage

We use functional cookies to keep you signed in and remember your shopping settings. Your browser also stores your cart, PC Builder draft, theme and onboarding preferences. Session storage remembers whether you were last signed in so the account menu can load smoothly.

A random visitor identifier in local storage lets us attach builds you shared while signed out to your account when you sign in from the same browser. Clearing browser storage removes that connection. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Shared builds and email

Public builds can appear in Community builds after review and can be indexed by search engines. Unlisted builds can be opened by anyone with their link. Both can show your display name and the details you put in the build. Private builds are only available to their owner. Avoid putting personal information in shared builds.

We send account emails for confirmation, password resets and email changes. Price-alert emails are optional: you can turn them off in your account settings. Our email delivery providers, including Resend when configured, receive the address and message needed to deliver these emails. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

Our hosting, authentication and email providers process data needed to run the service and may process it outside Egypt. When you add a custom part with a link, we send the link's domain name to Cloudflare's family DNS service to check for blocked sites. We do not send your account details with that check.

Managing and deleting your data

You can edit your profile, remove watched products and delete saved builds from your account. Deleting your account removes your sign-in account, watchlist, alerts, and private and unlisted builds. You can choose to delete public builds too or keep them under Anonymous. Copies may remain in backups until those backups expire. Browser storage can be cleared in your browser settings. If account deletion is unavailable or you need help with your data, contact us below.

Third-party stores

Clicking "Visit Store" on any product takes you to a third-party website that we do not operate and do not control. Once you leave NileShopper, that store's own privacy policy applies to any information you provide there. We encourage you to review it before completing a purchase.
